In the 1st half of 2020 foreign trade turnover of the Penza region amounted to 284 million 760 thousand U.S. dollars, while exports amounted to 150 million 894 thousand dollars USA, import 133 million 866 thousand dollars.
The balance of trade of the Penza region was positive and amounted to 17 million 028 thousand dollars.
Compared with the 1st half of 2019, the foreign trade turnover of the Penza region increased by 24%, while exports increased by 43%, import increased by 9%.
The trade turnover of the Penza region with the countries of far abroad in the 1st half of 2020 amounted to 187 million 600 thousand U.S. dollars, exports of 74 million 811 thousand dollars USA, import 112 million 789 thousand dollars.
Foreign trade turnover with CIS countries for the 1st half of 2020 amounted to 97 million 160 thousand U.S. dollars, exports of 76 million 083тыс. USD, import 21 million and 076 thousand dollars.
In the commodity structure of export of the Penza region was dominated by food products and agricultural raw materials – 36% of the total exports of the region, engineering products – 35%, metals and products from them – 8%, wood and pulp and paper products – 6%, chemical products -4%.
To import goods a leading place was occupied by machinery products – 55% of the total imports of the region, food products and agricultural raw materials – 14%, wood and paper products 5%, metals and products from them – 10%, chemical products, rubber 11%.
The main trade partners were the far abroad countries. Their share in the trade turnover amounted to 66%, including in exports – 50%, imports by 84%.
