Saratov customs informs about the automated production of electronic transit declarations

From 28 October 2019 in the Saratov customs implemented the technology of automatic registration of electronic transit declarations (ETD), filed in respect of goods transported by road and rail.

Successful completion of automatic registration of electronic transit declarations is one of the conditions of automated production of electronic transit declarations.

Currently, the technology of automated production of electronic transit declarations in the Russian Federation is applied in 60 of the customs bodies defined as pilot areas. In the future this technology is planned to be implemented in all authorized customs authorities, including in the Saratov customs.

Automated production of electronic transit declarations is currently used for carriage of goods transported by rail and road transport, if the declarant acts as the carrier or authorized economic operator.

The basis of successful completion of the algorithm autopause transit declarations lies the correct filling of the transit Declaration and high-quality training set of electronic documents by the declarant or customs representative. Therefore, when completing transit Declaration it is important to strictly follow the Instruction on the procedure for filling the transit Declaration approved by decision of customs Union Commission of 18.06.2010 No. 289.

The introduction of the technology of auto-enrollment and autopause ETD will significantly reduce the period of placement of goods under the customs procedure of customs transit.
