Residents of the town of Konakovo Tver region “prescribed” drugs in the mail

Employees of the Tver customs when carrying out joint activities with UFSB of Russia across the Tver region were stopped smuggling of drugs in especially large size.

In the course of operational-search activities it was established that the inhabitant of the Konakovo district of the Tver region with the consent of unidentified persons were ordered a parcel from China with a powdery substance. The substance was placed in plastic bags with interlocking closures. The parcel to the local post office a woman came with a friend, who was his plans. Along with sending the couple was detained, the contents of the consignment seized and sent for examination. Examination showed that the packages contained drug quinoline-8-yl-1-(5-terpentin)-1H-indole-3-carboxylate as a derivative of quinoline-8-yl-1-pentyl-1H-indole-3-carboxylates. This tool is included in the List of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors subject to control in the territory of the Russian Federation, and the turnover of which in Russia is prohibited. Weight substances made up 501,5 grams.

After receiving the drugs the woman and the man planned to sell it by setting “bookmarks”. For their active participation in a criminal event the couple has to obtain reward money from an unidentified person.

Against the inhabitants of the Tver region and unidentified persons brought criminal case on signs of the crime under paragraph “b” of part 4 of article 229.1 of the criminal code. They face long terms of imprisonment.
