Pulkovo customs: criminal case “came” to St. Petersburg from Poland

Operational staff of the Pulkovo customs foiled an attempt of illegal moving through border of the Eurasian economic Union of a large consignment of drugs.

Enterprising dealers are still trying to use the airspace for traffic for the delivery of drugs in different countries. Such movements are regularly repressed by the staff of Department of fight against a drug trafficking of Pulkovo customs.

A resident of St. Petersburg detained one of the post offices of the city while receiving international mail. A letter filled with drug lysergide (LSD, LSD-25), came to him from Poland.

That the letter is not harmless message, officials of the Post the post of Pulkovo customs, learned in point of international postal exchange “Pulkovo”.

During carrying out customs inspection of international mail discovered three pieces of heavy paper separated by a perforation at 250 pieces with a colored geometric pattern. In appearance they resemble children’s puzzles, and every puzzle is impregnated with the drug substance equal to one dose.

The examination confirmed that the study of fragments of perforated paper contain narcotic lysergide (LSD, LSD-25).

This drug is included in the List of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors subject to control in the Russian Federation, and related to narcotic drugs, turnover of which is prohibited in Russia in accordance with the legislation and international treaties of the Russian Federation.

Considering all the above circumstances, the actions of the citizen is seen sufficient evidence of committing criminal offences.

On this fact the Pulkovo customs office opened a criminal case under part 1 of article 229.1 of the criminal code (smuggling of narcotic drugs).
