Omsk customs arrested the vehicle with consumer goods with signs of counterfeit

Employees of mobile group of the Omsk customs detained a cargo vehicle with a trailer, EN route from Kyrgyzstan through the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation consumer goods weighing over 15.5 tons.

For implementation of customs control of the goods transferred, the car was escorted to Moscow to the warehouse of temporary storage. During the customs inspection by customs officials in the number of goods transported in the vehicle, the detected light industry products (jackets, tracksuits, trousers, children’s clothing) with signs of counterfeit, marked trademarks of famous brands.

Currently, measures are being taken to identify infringing goods. To determine the illegal use of another’s trademark, leading to major damage to the right holders of trademarks, Omsk customs will be sent to the representatives of the holders of exclusive rights to objects of intellectual property.

It should be noted that the number of counterfeit goods identified in the Omsk customs in 2019, is more than 291,5 thousand units. Of these, 99.9% of identified service of the customs control after release of goods in the framework of the activities carried out by mobile groups in the border regions on the Russian-Kazakhstan state border of the Russian Federation.
