Citizens who are temporarily imported from abroad in Russia vehicles, until September 30, 2020, exempt from the obligation of their return export.
This decision was taken by the Council of the Eurasian economic Commission on 29 April 2020, No. 47, “amending certain terms of the importation of goods for personal use”.
The extension caused by the current situation related to the adoption of measures aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus infection.
The decision comes into force on 28 may 2020 and applies to vehicles, the period for the temporary import of which expire from March 1 to September 30, 2020.
Head of Department of customs procedures and customs control of the Novosibirsk customs Natalia Perevodchikova: “ZUkrytie boundaries is not always possible to comply with the requirements of the legislation on the export of vehicles from the territory of the EEU who have reached the time limit of temporary import, so it was decided. In this case, the period of temporary importation of vehicles is automatically extended, to contact the customs don’t need”.
Note that the extension of temporary stay of cars in territory of Russia does not release individuals from compliance with the requirements, conditions and limitations established by law, in actual possession and use of vehicles by the declarant, as well as from the obligation to reverse their removal by the expiration dates.
