Lipetsk customs officers detained are prohibited to import to the territory of Russia a potent substance

Employees operatively-search Department of the Lipetsk customs seized a prohibited import on the territory of Russia a potent substance. He was sent international mail to the address of the inhabitant of the Lipetsk region from the Republic of Kazakhstan. When you receive the parcel, the woman was detained in Lipetsk customs.

“In the administration were 102 capsules containing a potent substance sibutramine, whose import to the Russian Federation is prohibited, – said acting Deputy head of the Lipetsk customs Andrew Azovtsev. – Lipetsk customs office opened a criminal case under part 1 of article 226.1 of the criminal code of Russian Federation “Contraband of potent, toxic, poisonous, explosive, radioactive substances…”.

This article prescribes punishment in the form of deprivation of liberty for a term up to seven years with a fine in the amount up to one million rubles.
