Khakas customs reminds that the origin of the funds must be confirmed

4 February 2020 at single import to the customs territory of the Eurasian economic Union (EEU) or a one-time export from the customs territory of the EAEU of cash and (or) monetary instruments (cheques, promissory notes, cheques (Bank cheques), securities) in the amount exceeding 100 thousand US dollars, you will need to submit documents to confirm their origin.

This can be used documents handled by banks and credit institutions when making FX transactions, withdrawing funds from the account, obtaining credit, etc., the documents confirming the conclusion of legal transactions (inheritance, donation).

In case of non-relevant documents the movement across the customs border of the EAEU of cash and (or) monetary instruments is not allowed.

The new rule is entered by the decision of the Eurasian economic Commission of August 6, 2019 No. 130, “About submission of documents to confirm the origin of cash and (or) monetary instruments”.

Also keep in mind that according to the Customs code of the EAEU, cash or traveller’s cheques, the total amount of which with one import or export exceeds 10 million U.S. dollars, are subject to customs clearance by filing the passenger customs Declaration.
