At an extended meeting on summarizing the work in 2019, the head of customs Valery Gukov noted that the tasks of the Karelian customs of the Federal customs service and the North West customs Department, made.
The meeting was attended by Deputy head of the Northwest customs Department-the chief of service of Federal customs revenues Evgeny Kushnarenko, Deputy Head of the Republic of Karelia Alexander Pshenitsyn, heads of regional departments of Federal authorities, national and transport Prosecutor’s offices.
In 2019 the turnover of cross-border products in the region of the Karelian customs amounted to more than 8.2 million tons, the value of the goods amounted to 1 billion 527 million U.S. dollars. In the Federal budget of the Karelian customs listed 2 billion 175 million rubles. The number of issued declarations for goods accounted for almost 40 thousand, or 4% more than in 2018.
Great attention to Karelian customs was paid to the further development of promising technologies. In the framework of the Comprehensive program of development of the FCS of Russia for the period up to 2020 last year in the Karelian customs work was carried out in compliance with the key indicators of “10 steps for business.” Significantly expanded the use of technologies of automatic registration and automatic release of goods without the involvement of the inspector. At year-end the share was automatically export declarations amounted to 95%, imports – 51%. The number of declarations issued in automatic mode, also increased to 76% of import and 55% export declarations. The share of transit declarations issued in electronic form made up of 99.8%.
Foreign trade operations in 2019 was performed with 119 countries of the world. Among them: Finland – 30% of turnover, India -10% and China 6%.
From Russia mainly exported the products of the enrichment iron ores (iron-ore pellets), products of wood processing (paper and cardboard, cellulose), timber, and electrical equipment.
In the structure of imports took first place in the electrical equipment, the second fish food, the third – mechanical engineering products (equipment and mechanical devices).
The largest partner country in imports and exports – Finland.
For 2019 foreign economic activity was carried out by 278 members, of whom 213 organizations export-oriented, 97 – imported goods.
The total number passed through the customs border of the vehicle has exceeded 1 million 165 thousand units. The number of passenger vehicles decreased by 5.2% (856 3295 units), and the number of buses increased by 10.9% (3 381 units), however, the 11.6% increase in the number of commercial vehicles (164 741 units). The number crossing the border to individuals in 2019 amounted to 1 million 607 thousand 11 people, which is 1.6% less than in 2018 (1 633 087 persons).
In 2019, the operational materials of the Karelian customs was initiated 30 criminal cases and 3,000 cases of administrative offenses.
