It is necessary alive

It is necessary alive

For the 75th anniversary of the great Victory in the Vladimir customs opened the exhibition. In the heart of the exhibition – family heirlooms, awards, photos, letters from the front and the original documents relatives and friends of the customs officers.

Gone for decades, and we are looking for soldiers of the war carefully looking at the facial features of each of them, going over the dry line premium sheets, labels on funerals, faded handwriting on the front triangles. They wrote their mother about life and the weather, tried to joke, rarely expressed anxiety and fear. And he wrote about love, worried about children and parents. Ordinary people whose lives have been changed by the war. And the real heroes: their deeds deeply understand the price of Victory.

The second part of the exhibition focuses on search traffic and here are the items found in the battlefields and military disasters: fragments of weapons, personal belongings, aircraft parts. Thanks to the enthusiastic searchers could especially acutely feel the connection of times. They not only raise from the earth the remains of the soldiers, but also do extensive work with archives, returning from the obscurity of the soldier’s names. So there is memory, which is the basis of the future.
