In the 1st half of 2020 Irkutsk customs office revealed more than 33 thousand units of counterfeit products
Protection of intellectual property rights, the suppression of import and turnover of counterfeit products is a priority of the Irkutsk customs. This work is carried out in cooperation with law enforcement bodies of the Irkutsk region, as well as with respective owners of trademarks.
In January-June 2020 identified 33 027 units of counterfeit goods. The amount of avoided economic losses amounted to more than 13 million 928 thousand rubles.
When exercising customs control when the goods Irkutsk customs officers revealed 10 869 pieces of counterfeit goods. It should be noted that during the 1st half of 2020 at a customs post of Irkutsk customs was declared the goods containing objects of intellectual property (trademarks), more than 7,8 thousand goods declarations, which is 24% higher than the same period of the previous year. It was put under control and checked 139 consignments (13.5 million items). Thus, the Irkutsk customs is daily great and hard work and proper customs control to prevent importation into the territory of the Russian Federation of counterfeit goods.
22 158 units of counterfeit goods in the 1st half of 2020 was withdrawn within the framework of interagency cooperation of the Irkutsk customs, the territorial bodies of the MIA of Russia.
Only 1 half of the current year was recognized as counterfeit products such as: children’s wooden toy, illegally marked trademark “Luntik” toys “lol SURPRISE”; the ice cream “D ARTS”; sports clothing and footwear, sporting goods “ADIDAS”, “REEBOK”, “NIKE”, “COLUMBIA”, “SPORTWEAR”; perfume and cosmetic products “LACOSTE”, “HUGO BOSS”, “NINA RICCI”, “DKNY”, “DOLCE&GABBANA”, “VERSACE”; Stolichnaya vodka, “Talca”, “Rodniki Sibiri”; cigarettes and lighters “LM Red”, “Blue LM”, “CRICKET”; coffee “MACCOFFE”; clothing “LEVIS”, watches of various famous brands and other products.
In addition, in the 1st half of 2020 Irkutsk customs-continued customs control of goods, marked and trademarks included in the Customs register of intellectual property objects (TROIS) sent by international mail (IGOS) in the address of physical persons – residents of the Irkutsk region.
Only for a specified period revealed 53 MPO-containing consumer goods for personal use with signs of counterfeit marked 66 different trademarks. In particular, it has been revealed counterfeit spare parts for cars trademark KIA, HUNDAY, MOBIS (country of origin – Korea).
Thus, despite the reduction in the volume of goods (in connection with the ban on the shipment of MPO due to the spread of coronavirus infection), in the 1st half of 2020 (compared to the same period, 2019) number of detected MPO containing goods with signs of counterfeit, increased by 39%.
In January-June 2020 for illegal use of objects of intellectual property of the Irkutsk customs office opened 8 cases of administrative offenses (AP) under part 1 of article 14.10 KoAP of the Russian Federation; for the consideration of the courts sent 9 cases of AP.
In the framework of cooperation between Irkutsk customs with the territorial bodies of the MIA of Russia on the facts of detection of counterfeit products brought 24 cases of AP according to article 14.10 KoAP of the Russian Federation and 2 criminal cases under article 180 of the criminal code. Special attention during the joint inspections, in particular, was paid to identify counterfeit tobacco products with fake excise stamps, marked trademarks of “NON-STOP”, “FT”, “Gixom”, “Buta”, “Blue Horse”, “Adalya”, “Interesting”, “Afzal”, “Donskoy Tabak”, “Prestige”, “bond”, “NZ Safari”, “RICHARD” and others.
