Import is impossible to deny: the import of certain types of fuel temporarily banned

The Russian government has temporarily restricted the import of certain types of fuel into the country. The ban is introduced from 2 June 2020. The list of prohibited – certain categories of motor gasoline motor, kerosene, diesel and gasoil (19 codes of the commodity nomenclature of FEA EAEU), they are listed in the text of the resolution.

However, there are exceptions. So, the prohibition will not apply:

fuel moved under international transit transport starting and ending outside the territory of Russia and gas, the country of origin of which Russian Federation is transferred between parts of the country through the territory of foreign States;

fuel contained in process vessels, storage, water, air, rail, road vehicles used for the purpose of exploitation in transit;

fuel, imported to Russia before the entry into force of the decision on temporary prohibition in respect of which is not made the customs Declaration and release.

The interim injunction is valid until 1 October 2020.
