Foreign trade turnover of the Udmurt Republic for the first quarter of 2020

For the 1st quarter of 2020 foreign trade turnover of the Udmurt Republic amounted to 143 million 398,8 thousand dollars USA and compared with the 1st quarter of 2019 has decreased by 94 million 837,8 thousand dollars (-39,8%). The export decreased by 65.7% and amounted to 51 million 198,6 thousand U.S. dollars, imports increased by 3.8% and was equal to 92 million 200.2 thousand dollars.

The share of foreign trade turnover of the Udmurt Republic in the foreign trade of the Volga Federal district amounted to 1.32%.

The trade turnover of the Udmurt Republic with the countries of far abroad in the 1st quarter of 2020 amounted to 100 million 913,6 thousand US dollars that in comparison with the 1st quarter of 2019 less than 91 million 326,1 thousand dollars (-47,5%).

Exports compared to the 1st quarter of 2019 has decreased by 97 million 234,6 thousand dollars (-87,0%) and amounted to 14 млн566,1 thousand dollars. Imports increased by 5 908,5 million USD thousand (+7.3%) and amounted to 86 million 347,5 thousand dollars.

Of the Udmurt Republic in foreign countries exported: wood and articles of wood; wood charcoal (44 group) – 18,8%; inorganic chemicals; compounds, inorganic or organic (28 group) – 15,2%; furniture; bedding, mattresses, mattress supports, cushions (94 group) – 11,0%; ferrous metals (72nd group) and 10.8%; machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (84 group) – 6,9%; other base metals; cermets; articles thereof (81 team) was 5.7 per cent; electrical machinery and equipment and parts (85 group) to 3.7%.

Imported in the Udmurt Republic from foreign countries: means of land transport other than railway or tramway (group 87) – 26,4%; machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (84 group) – 20,8%; electrical machinery and equipment and parts (85 group) – 19.4 per cent; ferrous metals (group 73) – 5,2%; other base metals; cermets; articles thereof (81 team) and 4.3%; other articles of base metal (83 group) – 3,5%; furniture; bedding, mattresses, mattress supports, cushions (94 group) – 3,4%; plastics and articles thereof (39 group) is 2.5%.

Foreign trade turnover with CIS countries in 1st quarter of 2020 amounted to 42 million 485,2 thousand dollars. Compared to the 1st quarter of 2019 turnover decreased by 3 million 511,7 thousand dollars (-7,6%).

Exports decreased by 979,4 thousand US dollars and amounted to 36 million 632,5 thousand dollars (-2,6%). Imports decreased by 2 million 532,3 thousand dollars (for 30.2%) and amounted to 5 million 852,7 thousand dollars.

From the Udmurt Republic to the CIS countries exported: means of land transport other than railway or tramway (group 87) – 20.9 per cent; ferrous metals (group 72) is 16.6%; mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation (27 group) is 15.4%; machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (84 group) – 15,2%; wood and articles of wood; wood charcoal (44 group) – 6,0%; ferrous metals (group 73) – 5.3 percent; furniture; bedding, mattresses, mattress supports, cushions (94 group) to 5.0%; electrical machinery and equipment and parts (85 group) at 2.6%.

In the Udmurt Republic from the CIS countries were imported: other base metals; cermets; articles thereof (81 group) – 14,3%; machinery and mechanical appliances; parts thereof (84 group) – 12,9%; edible fruit and nuts; peel of citrus fruit or peel of melons (08 group) – 11,2%; pharmaceutical products (group 30) and 9.8%; electrical machinery and equipment and parts (85 group) – 9.2 per cent; ferrous metals (group 72) – 8,6%; ore slag and ash (26 group) – up 7.6%; plastics and articles thereof (39 group) – 3,6%; residues and waste from the food industries; prepared animal fodder (23 group) – 3,0%; instruments and apparatus optical, photographic, cinematographic (90 group) – 2,5%; ferrous metals (group 73) – 1,8%; articles of stone, plaster, cement, asbestos, mica (group 68) is 1.8%.

In the commodity structure of exports of the Udmurt Republic for the 1st quarter of 2020 was dominated by: machinery, equipment and vehicles and by 35.2% of total exports; metals and products from them – 21,8%; mineral products – 11,0%; other products – 10,0%; wood and pulp and paper products – 9,8%.

In the import of goods leading position held: machinery, equipment and vehicles – 65.8% of the total import volume; metals and products from them – 17,6%; chemical products, rubber and 6.1%.

Trading partners of the Udmurt Republic for the 1st quarter of 2020 were 95 countries. The main trade partners were the far abroad countries. Their share in the turnover amounted to 70.4%, including in exports – 28,5%, in import – 93,7%.

The largest trading partners in export (60 countries): Belarus (25.6 per cent); Kazakhstan (21,4%); Uzbekistan (16.3 per cent); Germany (5.4 per cent); Netherlands (4.6 percent); Azerbaijan (4,0%); Sudan (2,5%); Ukraine (1.9 per cent); China (1.8 percent); Egypt (1,6%);

when you import (total 79 countries): China (15,0%); Japan (11.3 per cent); Poland (11,2%); Czech Republic (11,0%); Romania (7,3%); the Republic of Korea (6.9 percent); Germany (6.9 percent); Turkey (4.2 percent); France (3.6 per cent); Thailand (3.3 percent); Belarus (2,9%); United States (2.7 percent).
