Foreign trade turnover of the Perm Krai for the first quarter of 2020

For the first quarter of 2020 foreign trade turnover of the Perm region amounted to
1 billion 279 million 432 thousand dollars USA and compared with the first quarter of 2019 has decreased by 15% (-226 million 128.9 thousand US dollars). The export decreased by 9.1% and amounted to 1 billion 62 million 344,8 thousand U.S. dollars, imports increased by 12.9% and was equal to 217 million 87,2 thousand dollars.

The share of foreign trade turnover of the Perm region in foreign trade of the Volga Federal district amounted to 11.8%.

The trade turnover in Perm region with the countries of far abroad in the first quarter of 2020 amounted to 1 billion 121 million 321,9 thousand US dollars that in comparison with I quarter of 2019 less than 214 million 724,8 thousand dollars (-16,1%).

Exports compared to the first quarter of 2019 has decreased by 226 million 896,7 thousand dollars (-19,2%) and amounted to 952 million 795,8 thousand dollars. Imports increased by 12 million 171,9 thousand US dollars (+7.8%), and amounted to
168 million 526,1 thousand dollars.

From the Perm region in the far abroad countries exported: mineral fuels, mineral oils and products of their distillation (27 group) – 46,4%; fertilizer (31 band) – 30,7%; organic chemicals
(29 group) – 6,7%; wood and articles of wood; wood charcoal
(44 group) is 3.1%.

Brought to Perm from foreign countries: machinery and mechanical appliances, parts thereof (group 84) – 38,4%; ore, slag and ash (26 group) – 9,0%; plastics and articles thereof (39 group) – 6.8 percent; soap, organic surface-active substances, detergents (34 group) – 5.8 per cent; ferrous metals (group 73) – 5,5%; vehicles other than railway or tramway (group 87) – 4,6%; electrical machinery and equipment and parts (85 group) is 3.9%; organic chemicals (group 29) – 2,4%; rubber and articles thereof (40 group) and 1.9%; miscellaneous chemical products (38 group) – 1.9 percent; instruments and apparatus optical, photographic, cinematographic (90 group) – 1,8%; inorganic chemicals; compounds, inorganic or organic (28 group) of 1.7%; essential oils and resinoids; perfumery, cosmetic or toilet preparations
(33 group) is 1.7%.

Foreign trade turnover with CIS countries for the first quarter of 2020 amounted to 158 million of 110.1 thousand dollars. Compared to the first quarter of 2019, the turnover decreased by 11 million 404,1 USD thousands (of-6,7%).

Exports decreased by 23 million 977,5 thousand US dollars and amounted to 109 million 549 thousand U.S. dollars (-18%). Imports increased by 12 million 573,4 thousand US dollars (+34.9%) and amounted to 48 million 561,1 thousand dollars.

From the Perm region to the CIS countries exportedfertilizers (31 group) of 13.7%; electrical machinery and equipment and parts (85 group) – 10,6%;%; wood and articles of wood; wood charcoal (44 group) – 9.5 percent; fuel, mineral oils and products of their distillation (27 group) – 9.2 per cent; paper and paperboard; articles of paper pulp, paper or paperboard (48 group) – 8,3%; machinery and mechanical appliances, parts thereof (group 84) – 6.9 percent; plastics and articles thereof (39 group) – 5,9%; organic chemicals (group 29) -5,5%; inorganic chemicals (28 group) to 4.4%; ferrous metals (group 73) – 4,4%; ferrous metals (group 72) and 3.7%; miscellaneous chemical products (38 group), 2.8 per cent; railway locomotives or motor cars of tram, rolling stock (group 86) – 2,5%.

In Perm Krai from the CIS countries were imported: machinery and mechanical appliances, parts thereof (group 84) – 18,4%; alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and vinegar (22 group) – 15,1%; ore, slag and ash (26 group) – 12,8%; vehicles other than railway or tramway (group 87) – 12.3 per cent; ferrous metals (group 73) to 7.1%; electrical machinery and equipment and parts (85 group) of 7.0%; ferrous metals (72nd group) – 6.2 per cent; aluminium and articles thereof (76 group) – 3,0%; salt; sulphur; earths and stone; plastering materials, lime and cement (group 25) – 2,1%; articles of stone, plaster, cement, asbestos, mica or similar mater (68 group) was 2.0%.

In the commodity structure of export of the Perm region in the I quarter of 2020 were dominated by mineral products – 42.8% of total exports; chemical products, rubber – 39,5%; wood and pulp and paper products – by 8.2%.

In the import of goods leading position held: machinery, equipment and vehicles – 47.3% of total imports; chemical products, rubber – 19.7 percent; mineral products 11.7 percent; metals and products made of them of 10.5%.

Trading partners of the Perm region in the I quarter of 2020 was
126. The main trade partners were the far abroad countries. Their share in the turnover amounted to 87.6%, including in exports was 89.7%,
in the import – 77.6 per cent.
