In the course of customs inspection with the use of x-ray equipment in his bag was discovered two piles with the Russian currency in denominations of 5000 rubles in the amount of 200 pieces. The total amount of cash funds amounted to 1 million rubles (14 184,42 US dollar).

According to the law without a written Declaration is allowed one-time import or export of cash and (or) traveller’s cheques for a total amount equal or not exceeding the equivalent of 10 thousand dollars. USA. Cash in this amount was returned to the man, the rest of the funds are withdrawn.

On this fact criminal case about an administrative offense under article 16.4 of the administrative code of Russia “to declare or false Declaration of individuals cash and (or) monetary instruments”. Violation shall entail the imposition of an administrative fine in amount from one-half to two times the unreported amount of cash and (or) value of cash instruments or confiscation subject of an administrative offense.
