Sheremetyevo customs officers donated 13 icons from the late 20th and early 21st centuries to the Russian Orthodox Church

They were found in the luggage of a Syrian citizen flying out of Russia. The man said that he transported them at the request of a friend and did not know about the need to declare them

Artistic expertise has established that the images of saints are painted in the technique of tempera painting, some of them are decorated with chasing. Their total value is more than 120 thousand rubles

The icons, including images of Jesus Christ, the Mother of God, St. Prince Igor and Princess Olga, will now be placed in the Alexander Nevsky Church
