Employees of the Khabarovsk customs has once again identified the smuggling of the timber almost on two million roubles
Smuggling of timber revealed the Khabarovsk customs officers together with employees of Management of FSB of Russia across Khabarovsk territory at carrying out of operatively-search actions. According to the established data, the volume of illegally exported sawn timber (spruce and fir) amounted to more than 179 cubic meters, worth about 2 million rubles.
As the Deputy chief of the Khabarovsk customs Andrew Misyachenko, illegal timber export was conducted by providing the General Director of firm-the exporter to the customs authority of forged documents on the manufacturer of the goods. It was found that the actual producer of lumber were other legal entity, which has earlier given the lumber was stolen from the production site.
In respect of Directors of the company accepted the decision about excitation of criminal case under part 1 of article 226.1 of the criminal code of Russian Federation “Illegal moving through customs border of strategically important resources in the large size”. Investigation aimed at establishing all the circumstances of illegal activity.
The maximum penalty for this offence is deprivation of liberty for a term up to seven years with a fine of up to one million rubles.
