Customs officials in Nizhny Novgorod have stopped the channel of delivery abroad military body armor and helmets from the set of “Warrior”

Channel shipment of military goods, which was organized by a resident of Nizhny Novgorod, born in 1989, was stopped by the staff of the Privolzhsky operative customs. In 2018-2020, the Russian citizen was sent to the USA, EU and South-East Asia of more than 150 parcels with helmets, bullet-proof vests and other military paraphernalia relating to the personal equipment of soldier – combined arms to the set of “Warrior”.

Products the attacker acquired through the online sites, as well as through intermediaries, observing the conspiracy. Part of helmets and body armor were stolen from military units.

During a search of the apartment and the garage suspect customs officers found and sent for examination more than 110 units of products constructively similar to firearms and military equipment from the set of “Warrior”: machine guns and Kalashnikov machine gun, Dragunov sniper rifle, a Stechkin pistol, a Glock pistol, smoke bombs, bulletproof vests and helmets, radioventures, bayonet-knives and shops for weapons, other equipment. These products are included in the military equipment of the Ministry of defence of the Russian Federation, are products of military use and prohibited to civilian traffic.

On the fact of smuggling of military products the staff of the Privolzhsky operative customs has filed four criminal case under part 1 of article 226.1 of the criminal code. A citizen of Russia confessed and cooperated with the investigation. Ongoing clarification of all circumstances of the case.
