Customs officers at the Port of Rostov-on-Don discovered undeclared spare parts.
Customs officers at the port of Rostov-on-Don have discovered around 150 undeclared spare parts intended for a ship during customs control. The ship was bound for Turkey. Cases of administrative offenses have been initiated against the carrier and the ship’s captain under Article 16.2, Part 1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, which pertains to the failure to declare goods subject to customs declaration. Oleg Bessarab, the head of the customs post at the River Port of Rostov-on-Don, explained that since the beginning of the year, customs officials have initiated 81 cases of administrative offenses. The total value of undeclared goods discovered since the beginning of the year amounts to more than 6.7 million rubles.
