Counterfeit “Nike” on 9 million roubles
Mobile group of the Chelyabinsk customs together with the PU of the FSB of Russia in the Chelyabinsk region foiled an attempt to import counterfeit shoes.
145-th km of motorway A-310 had been stopped two trucks on route from Bishkek. According to the accompanying documents, the vehicle was transported to women’s and children’s shoes. However, in the course of customs inspection it was discovered more than a thousand pairs of sports sneakers famous brands “Adidas”, “Reebok” and “Nike”, which was intended for subsequent sale on the domestic market of Togliatti.
Owners of registered trademarks announced that have not granted rights to use the trademarks and confirmed the counterfeit products.
“From the beginning of 2020 is the first batch of counterfeit products identified by the mobile teams of the Chelyabinsk customs. According to preliminary estimates the damage caused to the owners, amounted to about 9 million rubles,” – says Denis Tsymbal, head of the customs control after release of goods of the Chelyabinsk customs.
Against the consignor brought 3 cases of administrative offences under article 14.10 of the administrative code of Russia “Illegal use of means of individualization of goods.” The sanction of article provides a penalty from 50 to 200 thousand rubles with confiscation.
