He will be responsible for the work of law enforcement units of the customs in the Yaroslavl and Kostroma regions. Previously, Andrei Tabachenko was the head of the department for combating particularly dangerous types of smuggling Belgorod Customs

The task of law enforcement units is to combat violations of customs legislation and crimes in the customs sphere. In the 1st quarter of 2024 in the region of activity of the Vladimir Customs Service in the Yaroslavl region 219 cases on administrative offenses (violations in the field of customs affairs, untimely submission of statistical forms of registration of the movement of goods, evasion of administrative punishment) were initiated. Decisions on imposition of punishment were issued in 206 cases for a total amount of 597.45 thousand rubles

There were registered 3 reports of crimes, the materials of which were transferred under investigation. For example, in the international mail, received from Kazakhstan in the name of a resident of Yaroslavl, customs officers found weight loss drugs containing the potent substance sibutramine. Illegal transfer across the customs border of the EAEU or the State border of the Russian Federation of potent substances as part of dietary supplements or medicines can be qualified as a crime under article 1 part 1 article 226.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (smuggling of potent substances). The case materials were transferred to a territorial body of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia
