Officials of the Voronezh Customs revealed illegal cigarettes worth more than 170 thousand rubles at a retail outlet near the Voronezh-1 railway station during a customs inspection
The tobacco products were not labeled with special Russian identification marks and excise stamps of the Russian Federation. 1406 packs of cigarettes were withdrawn from illegal circulation. All of them were produced in the Republic of Belarus
“Customs regularly conducts activities to counter the illicit trafficking of tobacco products. Unlabeled products cause damage to the economic interests of the state,” – said Deputy Head of Voronezh Customs Sergei Kolesnikov
The materials of the inspection were transferred for further decision-making to the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. In accordance with Art. 15.12 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, the entrepreneur may face a fine of 50 to 300 thousand rubles with the seizure of products.
