Benefits amounting to more than 298 million rubles were provided by the Siberian customs on goods imported in the framework of the fight against COVID-19

In the Siberian customs office (STU) for April-may 2020 were granted exemptions on goods imported into the territory of the EAEC in the framework of the fight against the spread of novel coronavirus infection, nearly 298 million 331 thousand rubles.

The largest part of the benefits, about 217 million 800 thousand rubles were provided by the customs authorities of STU in the framework of execution of the Decision of the EEC Council from 03.04.2020 No. 33 “On amendments to some Decisions of the Customs Union Commission and on approval of the list of goods of critical import,” according to which not subject to import customs duties on medicines, medical supplies, baby food, and fruit and vegetable products (onions, carrots, potatoes, etc.). The validity of the document entered on April 18, 2020, and applies to legal relations arising from 1 April 2020.

You should note that this privilege is granted upon registration of the goods Declaration for placing them under the customs procedure of release for domestic consumption to 30 June 2020 inclusive.

Another 80 million 531 thousand rubles preferential access of imports, which was included in the list approved by the Decision of the EEC Council from 16.03.2020 № 21 “On amendments to some decisions of the Customs Union Commission and on approval of list of goods imported into the customs territory of the Eurasian economic Union in order to implement the member States of the Eurasian economic Union measures aimed at the prevention and prevention of the spread of coronavirus infections 2019-nCoV”. This privilege is granted upon registration of the goods Declaration for placing them under the customs procedure of release for domestic consumption 30.09.2020 including the submission to the customs authorities of the member States confirm the target destination of the imported goods, issued by the authorized healthcare Executive authority of the member state or other authorized bodies of Executive power of a member state containing the item details, quantity, value of such goods and on the organizations engaged in the importation.

In addition, from 6 April 2020, entered into force the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation from 02.04.2020 № 419 “On the implementation of the decisions of the Council of the Eurasian economic Commission 16.03.2020 No. 21 amendments to the List of medical goods, which realisation in territory of the Russian Federation and whose import into the territory of the Russian Federation and other territories under its jurisdiction not taxable (exempt from taxation) with value-added tax”.
