Baltic customs: the detention of 100 thousand packs of smuggled cigarettes

Another attempt of illegal export of more than 100 thousand packs of cigarettes prevented employees of the Baltic customs.

29 April 2020 on Turukhtanny customs post of the Baltic customs in respect of consignments for “wooden furniture of wood, hardwood and softwood for interior, unassembled” load risk profile in fact the high probability statements of false information about goods. In this regard, a decision was taken about their examination with the use of inspection complexes (IDC). The results of the analysis of the scanned image of the container with the boards laid in the box, was discovered unauthorized attachments.

– At the opening of the container inside was a pallet with 10 boxes, 20 boxes with boards on each pallet. Each Board consists of two parts, glued together. When you break the Board inside discovered of a pack of cigarettes “CAMEL” and “Rotmans” with excise stamps of the Republic of Belarus, with 16 bundles in each Board – said the Deputy head Turukhtanny customs office Dmitry Bogdanov.

The sender of the consignment is a St. Petersburg firm, a container headed to the Netherlands. Declared goods – “furniture wooden wood, hardwood and softwood for interior, unassembled” weight 6880 kg.
