About 1500 bolls with chewing tobacco discovered by the officials of the customs post magaramkentskogo

21 Feb 2020 Magaramkentskogo customs post of the Dagestan customs officers of the post, employees of the investigative division of customs together with employees PU FSB of Russia on the taxiway while conducting customs control and customs clearance of the vehicle “Mercedes Benz”, EN route from the Azerbaijan Republic to the Russian Federation, under control of the citizen of Azerbaijan, discovered undeclared goods – chewing tobacco of foreign manufacture.

Tobacco, weighing more than 45 kg. was in the Luggage compartment of the vehicle. Smuggled goods seized and sent for examination. This fact addresses the issue of initiation of proceedings about an administrative offense under part 1 of article 16.2 KoAP of the Russian Federation “failure to Declare”, or criminal case.

Background: under current law a citizen who has attained the age of 18 has the right to import (export) of not more than 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars (cigarillos) or 250 grams of tobacco or specified products in assortment with the total weight not exceeding 250 grams per one person.
