A criminal case was initiated over counterfeit goods detected by the Bashkortostan Customs Service

A large consignment of counterfeit goods worth over 81 million rubles was discovered by Bashkortostan customs officers last year during raids on the republic’s highways in a truck traveling from Kazakhstan.
«Inspection measures established the fact of importation into the territory of Russia of 146 thousand pairs of counterfeit socks of well-known international brands. The consignment was seized»− reported the deputy head of the customs – head of the service Alexander Pryashnikov.
Currently, on the materials of Bashkortostan Customs Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Bashkortostan initiated a criminal case under Article 180 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal use of someone else’s trademark).

In 2023:
− more than 5 thousand goods with signs of counterfeiting were detected by Bashkortostan customs officers;
 − about 146 thousand units of goods previously detected by customs officers in Bashkiria were recognized as counterfeit.
