Almost two thousand of medical masks tried to illegally export from Russia the citizen of Mongolia

1910 medical masks weighing 5.2 kg was trying to illegally export from Russia the citizen of Mongolia through a vehicle checkpoint MAPP Kyakhta, the Buryat customs. The mask he hid in the car under the covers of the armchairs.

According to the chief of Department of special customs procedures of the customs post MAPP Kyakhta Dmitry Zyryanov, this is the first case in the region of the Buryat customs since the entry into force of the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation on a temporary ban on the export of certain goods, which, in particular, include a medical mask. The prohibition does not apply to the export of goods for personal use, but in this case the number of the transferred item tells about its commercial purpose.

The man knew that the export of this product is prohibited, and therefore hid packages of masks, as he himself admitted, with the intent to sell them in Mongolia.

For concealing goods from customs control Buryat customs in respect of a foreign citizen filed a case on an administrative offence under article 16.1 of the administrative code. Medical masks are withdrawn.
