Oryol organization fined 210 million rubles for violation of currency legislation

Kursk customs officers have brought a company from the Orel region to administrative responsibility for violating currency legislation. The limited liability company was fined 210 million rubles.
The buyer company, registered in the Orel region, from 2016 to 2018 transferred money to a counterparty from Germany on account of the manufacture and supply of technological equipment for the production of construction materials. Most of the equipment was imported into Russia. However, some of the goods were not delivered to the country within the contractual terms, and the organization did not take measures to return the money to the amount of 280 million rubles.
A case on administrative offense was initiated against the Oryol firm under part 5.2 of article 15.25 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation for failure to fulfill in due time the obligation to return the funds paid to non-residents for non-imported goods.
«The court considered the administrative case,  the company was found guilty of committing an administrative offense and was punished with an administrative  fine in the amount of over 210 million rubles, – said Deputy Head of Customs Dmitry Ilyukhin. – The court decision has entered into legal force».
